I was dubious. I like a highly functioning wallet. I carry a lot of things in my wallet besides just money, and I despise fumbling around for them or having them dumped all together.
I pondered the color choices for a long time because I wanted to feel happy carrying this wallet no matter what style mood I was in (I'm sure I'm not the only one who veers from simple to boho to lacy to outdoorsy). After doing this solid-color patchwork, I feel like I want to get rid of all the prints in my stash and just collect solid colors. I love the color play that much.
I am proud to say that this wallet came entirely from my scrap stash. I did not buy fabric for it, nor did I cut into dress-lengths of fabric.
The pattern was a little unclear at points, but I made notes on it for next time because I'm pretty sure there will be a next time. My sister wants one. And yes, after about 2 weeks of use, I love mine. I get a happy little jolt every time I pull it out of my bag.

Lisa, it was easier to work with the frame than I expected. I wish the pattern would have warned me to make sure the fabric part was the exact width of the frame - you can see the fabric buckling a little where I had to squeeze it in (or perhaps this seemed so obvious that it didn't need to be part of the pattern, but I certainly made a note for next time).
Also, a friend loaned me her magnetized screwdriver, which helped a lot with the eensy-weensy screws.

This is so adorable! It sure beats my uber-functional wallet: a black pleather business card holder from Staples. Gets the job done, but no jolts of happy in the process. I love the colors you chose!
It's fabulous! I know what you mean about wallets- I had a gorgeous one as a present from a friend, but it was just too small to fit everything in.

It's possible your shop may now turn into a clutch shop as demand keeps up. Too bad the clutch part is so expensive.
I love the colours, too. A few years ago I decided to only buy cheap purses so they would wear out around the same time I got tired of them. (I know, that's a bad excuse.) But I said that to say this - I don't think I would get tired of a purse like yours.
