My husband pulled the last of the lettuce tonight to make space for a few more tomato plants. A conoisseur would say the lettuce was bitter and bolting, but we are jubilant: $2 for a packet of seeds that provided microgreens in March and abundant salads for April, May and a little bit of June.
The green beans, nasturtiums, and raspberries are up, the dill heads are forming. There are two pepper plants. We now have a total of 15 tomato plants. May they all grow as well as the lettuce!

It looks like you have a big tree near your vege garden. Do you get much sun for your veges?
Anon, yes, we have a big maple and there's a big walnut tree too. Our plants get strong morning sun and a little late afternoon sun. Best for spring and fall crops, but our summer things do OK.
JJ, I will tell YOU stories. But they're outside the scope of this blog.
What a lovely garden! I am looking forward to my summer harvests as well. Lots of green tomatoes...come on, red!
