Did you have ice cream for breakfast on Saturday morning? We did! It was decadent and silly and my sister stopped by, which always makes a party.
I used the fabulous vanilla recipe that Jennifer Jo posted. I was not pleased with my yeast waffles from More With Less. I made baking-powder waffles last year, and I think that's the way to go. I also attempted to make a blueberry syrup which was too watery and nobody ate it; in fact, nobody ate any fruit of any kind at that meal.

YUMMO!
and DOH, I forgot. :(
But hey, hubby got given a bottle of locally made strawberry syrup - best served on ice cream so methinks there may be some sampling of said syrup in the not so distant future. :D
I enjoyed it - thanks for the reminder!
I forgot, too :(
However, I'm trying to lose some weight, for health reasons, so maybe it was for the best.
Your daughter looks pretty happy with the whole idea :)
I didn't, but this makes me smile! When I was a child my mother ALWAYS made waffles topped w/ ice cream for breakfast the morning after I had a sleepover. My friends and I would pile on the ice cream, whipped topping, and everything else. Decadent and such a treat.
My kids would flip out over this! We're doing it next year...or maybe just a random day....or a birthday.
Genevie is showing just how happy this breakfast is making her [she is absolutely adorable]..
Looks so yummy...I am ready for the icecream breakfast too..
