I was trying to take a picture of the toothbrushes. Joking. OK, this is my favorite skirt. I should have taken a better close up so you could see the multitude shades and colors in it. I can wear every color in the world with it and it looks great.
You've seen this necklace before.
Shoestring Chic:
vintage plaid wool skirt: $24
long john top is from high school, I think
scarf: gift
boots: $40
tights: $7
total: $75
Alas, I have no outfit for this week (our Realtor is paying a visit) but I love, love, love your skirt. Thrifty and gorgeous as always!
ReplyDeleteThis has nothing to do with the topic, but one of the "You might like" links was picnic asparagus; what I wouldn't do for some fresh asparagus right about now.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one!
Don't you love a versatile skirt that goes with everything? Looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe best outfit ever!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skirt. Just found your blog -- love the Chesterton quote on thrift! "...Economy is more romantic than extravagance..." spoken like a master!
ReplyDeleteThis leaves me even more convinced that Shoestring Chic 2.0 should have an algorithm where you get to divide cost of shoe by average number of times per week worn, or whatever. $40 for boots worn twice a week is different than $40 for boots worn twice a year. Just feelin' bad your boots, which are a regular apprearance, always sink you! (OK, relatively speaking)
ReplyDeleteSorry I didn't have a link this time. I think I'm going to have to search for a versatile wool skirt now .... maybe at ASOS? ;) hehe but not for a few months as it's still lovely and warm here!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHello Margo! Lovin your skirt and your style. Especially those boots. I'm not sure if you're like me, but I love adding up my whole outfit. And the cheaper, the more impressive! So glad you've joined in on Fancy Pants. Here's to more frequent visits *clink* !!
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt and that pretty blue scarf!
