I object on principle to those "dummies" books and now, sewing patterns. I'm not a dummy! But this was a really straightforward, pretty shirt to sew up.
Genevieve came home from school with this fancy braid.
And remarkably I got a nice picture of all three kids looking peaceful and happy and making eye-contact with the camera.
The blouse turned out nicely! Cute kids too. The "Dummies" stuff may be oversimplified at times, but that looks like a few good basic patterns in one envelope, which is admittedly, a favorite find of mine.
ReplyDeleteHow cute!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cute top - and a marvellous photo of Genevieve. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to get a good picture of a group! You did well.
I had a book, not the Dummies series but the other one that came out that was essentially the same thing - topic: Thinking Clearly. My mind tends to skitter all over the place and it was in a discount bin, so I bought it. It was one of the most poorly written books I've ever read. Ironic, really :) Your patterns look like a much better experience!
Love the sibling photo! And Genevieve's green shirt is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI really like that style and she looks great in it!
ReplyDelete...so it is not just me who objects to this Dummies thing, eh? ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish I had the patience for fancy braids. I have the hair for it. The patience....not so much. They look so lovely though.
