I've been experimenting with making my breakfast oatmeal and
hot cereal savory. Normally, I add brown sugar, raisins, milk and tahini (thanks to
Beth for the nut butter tip); lately I've added walnuts, cheese, olive oil, and extra salt. It's comparable to a simple pasta or rice pilaf, still mild enough for breakfast.
Hmmm...interesting idea. I'm always open to something that'll make oatmeal more appealing to more people...I have a few "resistors!" :-)
