We're out of ketchup, and, so WHY NOT. I'll let you know how it turns out. It's still cooking.

MonaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01617001290637321058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5956538942392497830.post-35439179971002462542014-08-28T13:56:13.407-04:002014-08-28T13:56:13.407-04:00That is a GREAT photo of Ben and the tomatoes, by ...That is a GREAT photo of Ben and the tomatoes, by the way...BLD in MThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06449967376288331137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5956538942392497830.post-34276708436833233722014-08-28T13:55:31.578-04:002014-08-28T13:55:31.578-04:00This post is well timed. We've talked about making ketchup for a couple years now (I don't like it, but Matt does.) but never have gotten it done. We got a slow cooker for a wedding present this summer and you've been perfecting your recipe. Seems like it might be time!BLD in MThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06449967376288331137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5956538942392497830.post-9104960769467617522014-08-27T12:13:21.256-04:002014-08-27T12:13:21.256-04:00I am so impressed by your output! The first time I even realized ketchup could be made at home was when my father needed to go on a low salt diet and I stumbled on a recipe for low-salt ketchup. It boggled my mind :)

And I love that first picture with your boy draped upside down over the sofa - he kind of reminds me of Flat Stanley (in the book of the same name)!!jenny_ohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15475480579733466963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5956538942392497830.post-47040243036285232882014-08-26T20:23:28.817-04:002014-08-26T20:23:28.817-04:00Impressive! Supposedly it's the best for canning as it doesn't separate. I don't know how it compares to clear jell as I've never used that in canning.

What do you do with tomato jam?Zoëhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05942708135461787133noreply@blogger.com
