When I married hubby 38 years ago I found out about sticking the sliver onto the new bar so that is how we do it. We use a handmade organic safflower oil soap so I don't want to waste a bit of it.Lanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09380649410508372279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5956538942392497830.post-86699965063683481142016-05-06T16:14:45.379-04:002016-05-06T16:14:45.379-04:00My grandmother had a tool specifically for the job...My grandmother had a tool specifically for the job. It looked like one of those pinchy/stirry things you can put loose tea in but bigger with an open mesh. Squeeze the handle and the mesh disc opened; put you soap slivers in there and then swish around wherever you need suds. Am now wishing I grabbed it up when we were divvying up kitchen stuff.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05406378232568485111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5956538942392497830.post-8770230745254438962016-05-06T12:05:05.798-04:002016-05-06T12:05:05.798-04:00That's what we do, too. I also keep a small plastic bowl near the kitchen sink to put dirty cutlery in (no dishwasher), with a couple of soap pieces in there. But I also learned from a Craftsy class that you can draw around your pattern pieces with the thin edges, onto the fabric, then cut.
