A Simple Green Shirt for Genevieve

I made this shirt for Genevieve last year and never got around to photographing it.

I object on principle to those "dummies" books and now, sewing patterns. I'm not a dummy! But this was a really straightforward, pretty shirt to sew up.

Genevieve came home from school with this fancy braid.

And remarkably I got a nice picture of all three kids looking peaceful and happy and making eye-contact with the camera.

The blouse turned out nicely! Cute kids too. The "Dummies" stuff may be oversimplified at times, but that looks like a few good basic patterns in one envelope, which is admittedly, a favorite find of mine.

That's such a cute top - and a marvellous photo of Genevieve. Beautiful.

It's so hard to get a good picture of a group! You did well.

I had a book, not the Dummies series but the other one that came out that was essentially the same thing - topic: Thinking Clearly. My mind tends to skitter all over the place and it was in a discount bin, so I bought it. It was one of the most poorly written books I've ever read. Ironic, really :) Your patterns look like a much better experience!

...so it is not just me who objects to this Dummies thing, eh? ;)

I wish I had the patience for fancy braids. I have the hair for it. The patience....not so much. They look so lovely though.
